Fun in the Forest

Becky — 9 June 2007 - 11:50am

Well, the trip to the forest with the Bellemoor guys was excellent. There have been some tensions in the group recently with 2 factions developing. But this week, before we'd even set off, one of the boys involved in the friction went to the shop and bought everyone an ice pop! Great start. Then in the middle of a wide game, we discovered 2 boys, previously known for fighting with each other, hiding together...they seemed to be getting on well. Amazing. We played football, manhunt, jungle speed (the latest favourite game), ate ice-creams, had a bbq, and generally had a really good time together. Praise God for the trip. It cemented the friendships that are growing in the group and with the leaders, and the boys are already teling us where they want to go next!

Unite is a small charity based in Southampton. What do we do? Hmm, maybe we aren't sure right now. We want to figure out the best way we can be part of the church in Southampton and we want that church to be good at doing all the things that Jesus asked his friends to get on with. We write about our adventure in figuring this out here. Hope you like it. No offence ever meant.
